SRINAGAR (KNO) : State Janata Dal United on Wednesday held the NC and the Congress responsible for the prevailing mess in the Kashmir Valley. Hitting at the leadership of the two parties, State President JDU, GM Shah Shaheen said that National Conference and Congress have done nothing for the welfare of people of Kashmir Valley.

“It is irony that the voice of people of Kashmir has always been suppressed and the discrimination with the people of Kashmir region got grossly exposed when people are agitating for their rights,” Shaheen said while addressing the newly joined political activists. Shaheen stated that National Conference and Congress have served the people of the State for the long time but in actual the people are fed up with them and their false promises. Shaheen also hit out at the PDP accusing it of changing colors after coming into power. “All these parties are equally responsible.

When they are in power they forget all their promises,” he asserted. He emphasized that the National Conference and the Congress should be held accountable to the people. Reacting over the ongoing ceasefire violation on International Border and Line of Control (LoC), Shaheen strongly condemned the ceasefire violation in the Holy month of Ramzan in which several people, including an infant, died over the past week. Shaheen criticized the present ruling government for not showing its serious concern towards the border dwellers. He said that the central government has been failed to fulfill its promises of allotting five marla plots to the people residing border areas. He appealed to the government to take concrete steps to resolve the miseries of the border dwellers.
